Elk Ridge POA: Trailer, RV, and Vehicle Parking
We hope that everyone is adjusting, adapting, and surviving the COVID-19 challenges today. The pandemic presents certain challenges and changes to our lives that we’ll meet with consideration for others and personal safety precautions.
Since summer is upon us, we feel it’s helpful to review our POA CC&Rs regarding trailers, RVs, fifth-wheelers, and other vehicles in the neighborhood. We’d like to remind you of our Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions that can be referenced on the Elk Ridge web site: https://www.elkridgepoa.com/documents. In particular, please refer to section Section 5.18, which, as amended, states: “Automobiles, pick-up trucks, and vans may not be parked on lots other than on paved off street parking spaces, driveways, or garages. It is recommended that there be no on street parking. Boats, boat trailers, camping trailers, campers, travel trailers, or any other recreational vehicles, sporting or camping equipment, shall not be stored or parked unless completely enclosed in a garage…”
We realize that many of us have recreational vehicles or trailers that we park at our homes temporarily as we prepare for or return from a trip. Some may be moving furniture or household goods from other homes. You might have construction or other work that requires temporary parking. In those cases, we understand you might need to park these vehicles on the street or in your driveway for a short period of time, usually no more than a few days. But we ask that you move that vehicle to a more permanent storage location after a few days. In addition, we ask that you park those vehicles in your driveway, if possible, during that temporary period.
We aren’t blessed with wide streets here in Elk Ridge, and long term parking on our streets creates issues with traffic and additional hazards. We ask for your assistance—let’s be considerate of our Elk Ridge neighbors.
Best Regards,
Elk Ridge POA Board
